Thanks for the mention Penfold; yes EventHQ does have a web service
that exposes both a list of public events for a specified account and
also details on an individual event. Other processes (e.g. event
administration and registration) have to be done via the EventHQ site
(although the public pages can be themed to match a clients site if
they so choose).

Examples of the web service outputs (time sensitive as the events will
change):
- All events for a client called RegenSW: http://regensw.eventhq.co.uk/.xml
- An individual event from the above list: 
http://regensw.eventhq.co.uk/ecobuild_2009.xml
