I've written a forum plugin for my cakePHP based CMS, it is not designed to be used in any cake app, but maybe you can use it. You can get the forum from http://github.com/dakota/CMScout-Forums/tree/master and the whole CMS from http://github.com/dakota/CMScout/tree/master
