As suggested by Piotr Kiczuk, the simplest is to use the target attribute for the form but that's deprecated.
Another way, basically requires you to add some javascript to the page with the printer friendly button. The idea is when the user clicks the button you "refresh" the page but with some extra javascript code that opens a window with your printer friendly version of things.
