Mocha Icing
servings: 6
ingredients:
1 1/2 cups Powdered sugar
1 TNS Coffee (coffee reaqdy to drink)
1/8 ts[ Salt
1 Egg yolk, well beaten
4 tsp Cocoa
1/4 cup Butter
1 tsp Vanilla
directions:
Sift sugar. Cream butter. Add sugar.
Beat until smooth.
Add remaining ingredients.
Beat until well blended.

Lavanda's note: The request for coffee
frosting inrigued me because it brought
back vivid memories of my mother making
it, although I had not remembered it for
decades!
I can actually see her making it in my
mind's eye - pouring the coffee into the
bowl and mixing it up.
So I started thinking about which cookbooks
she had and looked it up ... and located it!
