Are you sure about the baking time? That seems an awfully long time for small
cakes....

Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method
 -------- ------------ --------------------------------
1 package semisweet chocolate chips -- (6 ounce)
      1/2 cup milk -- divided
   2 1/2 cups flour
   1 1/2 tsp baking powder
      1/2 tsp salt
   1 1/4 cups butter -- (2 1/2 sticks) softened
   2 cups sugar
   5 eggs
   1 tbl vanilla extract

Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Place chocolate and 1/4 cup milk in
small microwave-safe bowl. Microwave on HIGH for 1-2 minutes, or
until chocolate melts; stir after 1 minute. Let cool. (Or, heat in
small saucepan over low heat 2-3 minutes, until chocolate melts.)
Combine flour, baking powder and salt; set aside. Cream butter and
sugar in large mixer bowl until light and fluffy. Add eggs and
vanilla; mix well. Add flour mixture; mix until blended.
Transfer 3 1/3 cups batter to medium bowl; stir in remaining milk
and set aside. Pour reserved chocolate mixture into remaining batter
 in mixer; blend well. Alternately fill four well-buttered 5 3/4 x 3
1/4 x 2 inch loaf pans with white and chocolate batters. Once all
batter has been used, gently swirl batters together with table knife.
Place loaf pans on cookie sheet. Bake about 1 hour - 1 hour 10
minutes, or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean.
Cool in pans on wire racks 10 minutes. Remove from pans. Transfer
to wire racks; cool completely. Makes 4 miniature loaves.
NOTE: Well-buttered disposable aluminum foil pans also may be used.
Allow cakes to cool in pans on wire racks.
