Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method

2 cups brown sugar
2 cups flour -- sifted
1/2 cup oleo
1/2 cup almonds -- finely chopped
1 cup sour cream
1 tsp salt
1 egg
1 tsp nutmeg
In large bowl mix brown sugar, flour & oleo until fine &
crumbly. Press 1/4 of the mixture into well-greased 8" or 9"
pan. Sprinkle with half of almonds. In large bowl mix sour cream &
soda, add egg, remaining crumbs & nutmeg, blend well. Pour over
mixture in pan. Sprinkle with remaining almonds. Bake at 325
degrees about 40 to 50 minutes. Makes 4-6 servings.
