It has become my "go-to" cake when I need to take a dessert. I almost didn't try the recipe because it starts with a cake mix but am I glad that I did. I followed the suggestions of other reviews and sometimes use banana pudding mix. a cook http://www.kraftrecipes.com/assets/images/recipe/starssmallleft50.png posted:11/16/2011 This is exactly like a cake my Grandma used to bake. It was a family favorite with our entire clan. Thank you for this recipe--I thought no one in our family had thought to get a copy from Grandma and, therefore, we had permanently lost all hope of ever having it again. The cousins will be so excited when I share the recipe with them. Kraft Foods must have some way of knowing all the best "antique" recipes. It is nice when you make them over into today's methods and ingredients. Thanks again. secondtime http://www.kraftrecipes.com/assets/images/recipe/starssmallleft50.png posted:11/1/2011 This is the BEST and easiest cake I have even made. I made it for work and everyone raved about it and wanted the recipe. Gave it to my sister-in-law and she said she hated it. She was kidding of course, said it tasted so good she and my brother could not stop eatting it. I even made it for a cake walk at church- it was big hit. a cook http://www.kraftrecipes.com/assets/images/recipe/starssmallleft30.png posted:10/23/2011 This cake was very easy to make but the taste was no big deal.
