On Android, I believe, photos saved to the file system will be automatically
saved somewhere in your Gallery. Is this the behaviour you are looking for? On
which platform(s) do you see this issue?
It would be helpful to flesh out the use case first, identify any platform
inconsistencies (which we can patch faster/easier), rather than implementing an
API extension which is a slower process.
