This is one of the adaptations of an English Country Dance, "Companions." (I don't know how to spell the author's last name, so I won't even try.) To see a video of this, including the pousette, take a look at one of the: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5m6LIvQi45s http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OTBVrde7ifc http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vN8950zGU0w http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nbwe05yaeFo http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dwO9XRUBk9w It's currently a fairly popular dance, judging by youtube. There's been other adaptations of the original English Country Dance. Barb Kirchner has written one, "Significant Companions." Martha Wild has also written one, "Heather's Cookie," which I really like, and has a full pousette before the hey. There may be more out there. -Chris Page San Diego
