A developing requirement for wikipedia in recent years, as biographical standards have become clearer is that verifiability has become an enforced requirement for biographical articles to survive (in the long run), hence reliable sources and documents must be referenced to support any assertions made.
The challenge of any writer of a wikipedia article at this time is to do the research of published materials that supports what might be stated in any such biographical article, and to reference those materials. That, and to put into context the assertion that the individual is significant and influential.
