As for semi-local potential emerging choreographers:

One I'd recommend is "Square Peg in a Round Hole," by Laila
Lewis, a recent caller from Tucson, AZ. It's a pretty simple dance
with a unique figure -- birdie in a cage. The ones swing can be
short unless the B2 circle is well-connected. There's other dances
on her website that are also of interest.
