Hi!
It appears to me that commit mentioned in the subject broke IAX2
severely.
I tried to run recent trunk snapshots but the problem is always the
same: switching between incoming SIP and outgoing IAX is initially
working, but after 3-4 seconds sound disappears and I'm no longer able
to make any call to IAX channel. "show channels" shows nonsense data.
Looks like a livelock.
I haven't dug any deeper than plain simple git-bisect but from what
I've found it seems that reverting this commit:

I believe that Frank Liu (one of the previous messages to this mailing
list) also have been bitten by this bug.
