Sort of. Same effect, slightly different way of doing it. Apparently there's absolutely no chance of the history patches ever becoming standard in zaptel (or in asterisk for that matter). Callweaver's (standard) polarityevents=no simply tells chan_zap to monitor that line continuously (i.e. pre-ring and don't expect a polarity event wake up because they either don't happen or they're not detectable). polarityevents=no also works for non-X100Ps plugged in to whacky telcos that send pre-ring callerid with no warning.
