Hi all, I am researching the possibility of having t38Gateway up and running

on a callweaver box

Actually I am testing with one welltech 3702b connected to a Canon fax 8820

(The hcl for t38gateway is a bit frustrating)

Now I have setup all my equipment on an single hub in order to better
investigate; moreover, my callweaver
is trunked via a zap tdm400 card

First of all I have to say the once (and only once) yesterday I succed in
sendin a 1 page fax, so
my setup shuldn't be too far from true.

Thence I never succed again. I prepared 2 full log files (setting
udptl debug
set verbose 9
set debug 9
)
and not:
sip debug;
rtp debug

and a third one with the last two on

these files were cleaned before sending the fax, so they are quite clear of
other presences

these files are avilable at

www.frameweb.it/free/callweaver

they are named full.bad, full.bad.2, ......

If you think that it would be useful to have a network capture i will
provide it immediatly; anyway I think
that this could be a second level request (looking at the log, maybe, you
can find something of orribly wrong, i.e. !)

the dial string I am using for faxing is:

;...........zap
exten => _0.,1,T38Gateway(zap/1/${EXTEN:1},30,h)
exten => _0.,n,Hangup()
for the first full.bad
then I removed the h;

;...........zap
exten => _0.,1,T38Gateway(zap/1/${EXTEN:1},30,)
exten => _0.,n,Hangup()

I tried to see the level of sound using ztmonitor, and I see the channel is
never saturated both in tx and in rx

Any help will be gratly appreciated: we are researching a solution that will
involve about one hundred faxes
spead over an intranet. The other solution is to have a dedicated solution
(attractel faxstering http://www.attractel.com/faxterisk.php)

thanks in advance,

ANdrea
