Subject: Year Zero: Nears the Finish Line!

*"A mine-free world does not need to be a dream - together, we can make it a
reality."* - Heather Mills

YEAR ZERO REACHES PICTURE LOCK
In the next 24 hours the Year Zero production team will have completed
picture lock for the final edit of Year Zero: Story of A Khmer Rouge
Soldier. Director John Severson is very happy with his team's progress so
far and is anticipating that it will take two weeks to complete the "icing
on the cake" for this important film project. On September 5th Severson will
fly to Los Angeles to rendezvous with award winning music composer Jesper
Kyd at his studio to complete the film's score. Producer Jonathan Lacocque
will be working simultaneously with sound engineer Jerry Walterick at
Batpack Studios in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania. There the two will work to
complete the mastering process as the score segments are completed and
slowly added to the film.

SUNDANCE SUBMISSION
Our current and most pressing goal is to complete the film for a September
22nd final deadline for submission to the Sundance Film Festival. In the
meantime we are also putting the final touches on our Press Kit and hope to
have that off to the printers by the end of this week so that we can begin a
more aggressive promotion campaign for the film.

SHORT FILM PLAYS IN CHICAGO
Our production team is also pleased to announce that our promotional short
film "LIVING WITH LANDMINES" screened on August 31st at the PEACE ON EARTH
FILM FESTIVAL in Chicago. It will screen again in Chicago on September 13th,
at the REEL SHORTS film festival as part of a series of shorts beginning at
4pm. Get your tickets by visiting:

WITH LANDMINES will screen at Film Row Cinema, 1104 S Wabash, 8th
Floor..

DONATING SUPPORT
Now that the post-production process is in full force, we are still seeking
donations for editing, sound design and promotion of the project. Donors can
visit www.yearzerodoc.com to find out how to contribute funding. Donors in
the USA may receive tax exemption for their donations made through the TIDES
FOUNDATION. Just click the "DONATE" link on the website to lead you through
the donation process.

THANK YOU!
All of us here at Year Zero Productions are thrilled and honored to have the
support of all our gracious donors. From the folks at Cinema Verite and
Batpack Studios (who helped with post work for our trailer and short,) to
the individuals who believed in us from the beginning, we send you a big
thank you and recognize that without you, we would not have been able to
make this film.
