it is called reversed culture shock.   You should stay longer to understand.  Many Cambodians also are shock to hear cursing in popular music and speak.
let us not judge each to harshly.  The Thai respects their royal family because their law tells to not because they universally love the royal.

You know, i dont really want to say this..but before this year. I have never gave a f**k about cambodians in cambodia.
But since i have been back to see my country of birth in March 2008. I have realised what i have left behind.
Many americans- cambodians, australian -cambodians etc etc dont know until they are actually there to see it with their own eyes!
I see alot of poverty, alot of corruption, i see men treating women like dirt, all disrespectful khmers look down upon each other! It needs a diversity law!
To stop olderly looking down on the young that is being evolutionalised to westerners! Im westernised and khmers in cambodia look down on me!!
It makes me feel so sorry for my people. But what can we do about it?
Ive been to thailand exactly one year ago..and there country is beautiful! Well mannered and respect their royals! They are going forwards as my country is going back!
cambodia has the same land as thailand..why cant cambodia just help each other then live too traditional everytime?
It ruins everything and puts us back into the stone age! eg. if girls wear short skirts..they considered as a slut by old ppl!

Around 450 to 500 Dogs are eaten Per Day in Phnom Penh

Sunday, September 07, 2008

A Phnom Penh vet said on Saturday that the eating of dog meat is
increasing. Around 450 or 500 dogs are bought every day without any
checking Phnom Penh City. Some of the dogs were stolen along home by
some naughty men to sell for 20 dollars per dog. Dog meat is not
checked, but pork and beef are demanded to test for virus. There is
RAVIR disease containing in dog meat that can be infectious seriously,
he added. The dog owners always complain about the loss of their dogs.

HAHAHA!
