It is not without precendent that Khmer downfall had constantly been marked by Thai trickery. When the Thai couldn't overun Angkor during the siege, they sent in their soldiers pretending to surrender to Khmer king and killed the later, openingthe way to the Thai victory.
After a long siege of Longvek, the Thai sent in their priests to the Khmer side so they could cast magic spell to disable Khmer canons from effective firing, and then the prak duong tale, as we all know. It is not that Khmer are racist, but we have learnt this traditional mark well: Siem min chaol kbuon, Yuon min chaol put.
