Subject: [angkoriansociety] Thai soldiers lay barbed wires on Khmer territories
Dear All,
The Thais are at it again. They said sorry to the Khmer for the 10 shells that
landed on Khmer territories on the one hand and on the other hand they have
continued to encroach on Khmer lands.
According to Radio Free Asia "A group of Thai soldiers have on Friday 20th
February laid barbed wires in an area the Khmer soldiers claimed belong to
Cambodia.
The area that the Khmer soldiers accused Thai soldiers of allegedly laying the
barbed wires is in Ta Thav district, located 6 kilometres east of Preah Vihear
temple."
They have laid barbed 40 metres deep inside Khmer territories near Preah
Vihear. The Thais are trying to push as deep into the Khmer territories as they
can to use these new "encroached territories" as the new borderlines before the
Khmer-Thai border Committee officially starting to demarcate. For full text
