Dear all, I'm not surprised by this, Xmer gorvernment today would lease everything, 60 years...80years..100years...only the Palais Royal still in bargaining. Ofcourse, Beung Keng Kang would retain his name but you don't have to row the canoe to Bes Phkah Chhouk at BKK anymore, just like you the way you go to Oh Reussei on Cyclo or Motor doub. Date: May 17 5:43 PM Read if you care! - 99 yrs? holy cow......... just imagine that! - so will there be Beung Keng Kang in Phnom Penh, i mean the real lake. well, may be the name "Beung Keng Kang" will remain the same for the next generation to call but i'm not sure will there be a lake that full of water. - what exactly will that foreign company do with the land? - if this contract works out, $79 millions dollars gonna be somehow beneficial for Khmer people as a whole? well, thanks for reading this. i hope you all be aware of it. just a clarification, this is NOT in any way to convey you with negative opinions or bias about the issue. all the information above is what i got from one of the reliable news site. some of you may take this as a good thing while others think it's insane! the truth is "who's know?" do you own thinking! WARNING: if you choose to reply, please be nice!! as you know it's the most annoying thing ever for people to get bunch of crap messages without any INPUT (reasonable opinions) instead just to get exposed (reply to everyone with blank message)! if you still do it, no one has control over that, but you should be ashamed of yourself! ps: don't mean to be harsh! sorry... <Scrapbook> Beung Kok area will be leased to foreign company for 99 YEARS in exchange of $79 MILLIONS, the lake is now being filled up with soil. Soon we'll no longer have Beung Kok! How's sad? --- On Sat, 16/5/09, Khoar Chev <[email protected]> wrote: From: Khoar Chev <[email protected]> Subject: Poem " Proyatt Chum Ngeuh Krun..."
