Senate President Meets Vietnamese and Israeli Ambassadors
Phnom Penh, July 3, 2009 AKP --
Senate President Samdech Akka Moha Thamma Pothisal Chea Sim
received here on July 1 newly appointed Vietnamese Ambassador to Cambodia Mr.
Ngo Anh Dung.
In the meeting, the Senate president highly appreciated and warmly
welcomed the diplomatic mission of Mr. Ngo. He was convinced that through Mr.
Ngo’s mission, the good cooperation in all sectors between the two countries
and peoples will be further strengthened.
In addition, he deeply thanked the Party, the government and the
people of Vietnam for their contribution in establishing peace in the kingdom.
“The Cambodia-Vietnam border has been becoming the border of friendship and
peace for mutual benefits,” he stressed.
In reply, the newly appointed Vietnamese ambassador highly praised
Cambodia for its development and he was committed to do his utmost to further

her occupation of Cambodia and remove all her troops from the country.

Feb. 27, 1982 : UN Commission on Human Rights meeting in Geneva adopted a
resolution condemning Vietnam’s occupation of Cambodia as a violation of
Cambodian human rights.
The UN General Assembly adopted a resolution A/RES/41/6,, calling for a
withdrawal of Vietnamese forces from Cambodia.
"Prime Minister Pham Van Dong called on me and, in the presence of Premier Chou
En-lai, swore in the name of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam that the latter
would always respect the land frontiers as well as all islands belonging to the
