Judging from the tone of language and the use of CAPITAL LETTER (please read her note below), MP Mme Mu Soc Hua was not a happy camper after reading my critics. I can only imagine what her "court" will look like, if she becomes Cambodian Prime Minister. I regret such a reaction; nevertheless, I thank her for taking the time to read and response to my postings. I didn't think she was stupid and would not dare to say that she was, but I thought the lawsuit was not favorable to the oppositions and in addition it has diverted the attention of Cambodians from the many other critical issues facing Cambodia as we speak. One does not need to "think hard" to realize that the CPP and Premier Hun Sen have been controlling the country and having influences over Cambodian court for many decades. If someone just woke up now and realized how bad or how good Hun Sen is, that person has been sleeping too long or just decided to throw a tantrum to demand personal attention. The whole world knows that and they have known that for years and they do know the "real face" of Cambodian government without the need to file a lawsuit against Hun Sen. Languages used by Cambodian politicians on all sides, off record and on record, are indeed pretty spiteful. Some have been calling each other all kinds of name; some comparing each other to an animal or a monster; many have attacked their countrymen as traitors, etc…One does not need to look far, he/she can just read some of the comments made by official members and associates of SRP who compare their countrymen as an animal because they have criticized the oppositions. Are such behaviors better than Premier Hun Sen's? Not, necessarily! Since Mme Mu Soc Hua brought my mother (God rest her soul) into this conversation, I could have thrown a fit and counter her with all kinds of nuisance, right? Although I think she is a bit cockeyed, I expected that. She was trying to make her point. But, my mother, knowing her well, would have handled the situation differently and perhaps yielded a much better result. I, too, would have suggested her to approach Hun Sen differently. But, since Mme Mu Soc Hua is not all ears, my mother or I would never dare to suggest her any other ways. It was her personal matter, and she only needs for everyone to approve her ways of doing things. Mme Mu Soc Hua has called for ideas to stand up against dictatorship and "stand on the front line with her group." I sincerely respect her to call on the people to stand up and I know that many people have been standing up against tyrants for many years from different angles. There are many ways to skin a cat (as a proverb says) and there are many ways to help build democracy besides filing a personal lawsuit over the Khmer expression "cheung klaing" misinterpreted as "strong leg" or over inappropriate languages used by Premier Hun Sen. Mme Mu Soc Hua does have the right to sue. However, if this lawsuit was intended for the people to think critically, I still think it was a childish move. People are intelligent enough to value Premier Hun Sen's behaviors without going through such processes. There are more important things to do.
