Raoul Jennar, the longest-serving foreign mercenary in Cambodia (1)
Belgian-born Raoul M. Jennar is one of the foreign experts described above. But
he is also a specialist in disinformation who has been selling his services to
the Hun Sen regime for more than twenty years. In order to hide the real nature
of his mission, he has worn several hats, from NGO official to historian to
political analyst to journalist to Tribunal (ECCC) expert to government
adviser. He was the main contributor to The Vision, a lousy and ephemeral
pro-CPP newspaper in the late 1990’s which was instrumental in the
disinformation and manipulation of the Western, especially French-speaking,
public opinion. His contract at the ECCC was not renewed because of his support
for the Hun Sen government view that only five former Khmer Rouge leaders --
those who are currently in jail -- should be prosecuted so as to prevent other
former Pol Pot colleagues -- who are now high-ranking CPP leaders -- from being
investigated and possibly prosecuted. He finally ends up as an official adviser
to the Hun Sen government while being a regular contributor, under several
fictitious names, to the French-language newspaper Cambodge Soir Hebdo.

U.S. Naval Vessel to Make Port in Cambodia's Coast of Sihanoukville

The USS Patriot, an Avenger-class countermeasures vessel from the 7th fleet
based in Hawaii will make port in Cambodia's coast of Sihanoukville early next
week, according to a statement released Friday by the U.S. Embassy in Phnom
Penh.
The statement said the USS Patriot will begin a weeklong visit starting from
Monday and to conduct exercises with the Cambodian Navy.
Sihanoukville province is located 230 kilometers southwest of Phnom Penh.
The bilateral training exercises will focus on damage control, search and
seizure and at sea rescue techniques.
In addition, naval surveyors who are also traveling on the ship will assist
their Cambodian counterparts in taking sides scan surveys of the port area to
check for possible obstructions in commercial shipping lanes.
Both the bilateral training exercises and the survey are being orchestrated at
the request of the Cambodian Navy and the Port Authority.
This is the fifth visit by a U.S. naval ship since the resumption of military
to military engagement between the U.S. and Cambodia.
The statement said that "each visit represents another important step in this
evolving relationship as well as an opportunity for military personnel from
both countries to exchange experiences, tips and techniques which will assist
them in the future."
UN Passes Strong Resolution on Cambodia Human Rights Abuses
Feb. 27, 1982 : UN Commission on Human Rights meeting in Geneva adopted a
resolution condemning Vietnam’s occupation of Cambodia as a violation of
Cambodian human rights. The vote was 28 in favor, 8 against, and 5 abstentions.

Translation: I have many children, including 6: 3 sons, 3 daughters. My eldest
son works at HCM(Ho Chi Minh) city; My second son is a manager of a hotel and
garment factory Number 01; My third son is a manager of garment factory Number
02; My three daughters are all studying in Australia.

Translation: In the past, from some reasons, I don't want anyone to know that I

Mr. Koy Kuong (pictured), yuon spokesman for Cambodian Foreign Ministry, said
the ministry has received orders from Prime Minister Hun Sen to prepare the
documents. He also said that Cambodia will take the border case with Thailand
to both the International Court of Justice in The Hague and to the UN Security
Council.
The spokesman said Cambodia has not lodged the legal complaints with the IJC
yet, but Cambodia had already informed the court of its intention to lodge the
complaints.

Suggesting that yuon is a racist word incites racial hatred
Indeed, the word yuon is a Cambodian word to refer to Vietnamese (English),
Vietnamien (french), Voatnam (Chinese Chao Zhou), Yieknam (in Vietnamese
language) or Yia Nam (Chinese mandarin). Therefore in each language, each
nationality has their word to call something differently. Your media accusation
to Mr Sam Rainsy is indeed very provocative and inciting of hate rather than
helping to promote cultural diversity.
