If you don't want your self and your family to become like a duck BBQ , you have spent only around 500 $ by installing the smoke detector for every room and connect them parallel for one network ,if you install like this ,when one of them is triggered then all other that connect to the same network will also ring. So this technique is the best to save your live . Normally your house possess only one smoke detector per floor, this is not enough, install it for every room , except bath room For me I have 13 smoke detector in my house . It is recommended to buy a detector that use with AC power ,not the one with battery !!
