Territorial dispute of 4.xxkm2 land with Thailand is a very small issue. In fact, it is no issue of such dispute. In fact, it is about business dealing that has something to do with Thaksin and HunSen on tourist business development in Preah Vihea area. Thai groups (many Thai business groups including Abhisit, Yellow and Red Shirts) are for business dealing with Hun Sen. But the deal does not go through yet because some technical problems. Therefore, territorial dispute is just a cover up for both Bangkok and Phnom Penh regimes. What happened last week was an additional feature to this cover up. Hun Sen felt he need to promote his son, Hun Manet, to top leadership. He let Manet take over command of troops at Preah Vihea, after Manet was appointed Deputy Army Chief and becoming a Major General. Manet holds several positions. In addition to his job as a member of the NA, he is also the Commander of Anti-Terrorist Unit, Deputy Commander of Bodyguard Unit, and Deputy Commander of the Army. BUT HE DOES NOT HAVE MUCH CONTROL OF THE TROOPS!!! Manet, at Preah Vihea area, could not get things done because lacking of effective control of troops. He therefore asked for bodyguards to come to border. Those bodyguards are the ones who did the shooting at the border last week. The exchange of fire last week developed into new issue. Hun Sen did not expect Thai military to return fire with heavy cannons. It was first time that 155mm was used in several rounds that destroying a number of Cambodian tanks, APCs and BM-21 Multiple Rocket trucks, sending shock wave to the abusive corrupt bodyguards. There is unknown number of death and wounded. Manet was silenced and since then his voice is not heard on military radio. The Thai military trickled Hun Sen by producing fake news about Manet get wounded. Finally, Hun Sen admitted that he has three sons in the armed forces. The Thai military is smiling at this admittance. Now Hun Sen says it is a real war. Hun Sen was shocked at the blast on his son's "troops" and he becomes fearful of Thai power that he always thought is a weak coward one. This caused him to call on UNSC for help. HUN SEN WANTS HE AND HIS SONS TO BE HEROES DEFENDING 4.xxkm2 of land while he gave up several thousands of square kilometers of land and sea to Vietnam, especially the approximately 10,000km2 of Khmer maritime territory (07/07/1982).
