As far as I know Cambodians and Khmer are all the same.
Cambodians consist of different ethnic. There is no such thing called
pure Cambodians.
My friend,
Your view is trying to convince yourself that there is a national
pride for a group of people. That group of people happen to be the
Cambodian society, not a small pure Cambodian group. Beside, you are
trying to distinguish between Cambodians and Vietnamese. At the same
time, you count some of Cambodians to be Vitenamese too.
Khmer Rouge was trying to do that and beyond. They failed because
there is no way that a society can find a pure people of one society.

Now, you are going off to another road.
The word Cambodian means that he/she is a Cambodian national. It also
means that he belongs to Cambodia. It doesn't mean that he is white,
green or blue. It's very simple. You are trying to make it very hard.
Even you yourself don't even know what you are talking about.

There is no Khmer from Surin. Khmer Surin are Thai nationals. They are
not Cambodians.
How hard can it be?
Khmer Kampuchea Krom are not Cambodians. They are Vietnamese.

I think you are doing just that.
