Dear Chetrasena, My post to which you reply deals only with (1) Sam Rainsy, and (2) choosing the government of Cambodia is the business of the Cambodian people in Cambodia alone.
Ok, as for you being a devout Buddhist, good for you. For me, I've never claimed to be a devout Buddhist, but I've neen defending Buddhism and Cambodian Buddhism wherever it's intruded or attacked and that I'm aware of, including here in CamDisk. I guess that's because I'm a Buddhist who was born and grew up in a Buddhist society and therefore I have a sentimental mindset with Buddhism and thus I have to defend it. Just one point: the historical Buddha said you don't have to follow everything he said. Thus to defend his Buddhism, you don't have to be always non-revegeful and always non-violent. Of course war can never be good, but sometimes it's necessary, and for defenders, it's always necessary. There's also the cold war, meaning verbal fighting, between the Buddhist defenders and the Christian invaders, in Cambodia and elsewhere. In South Korea, now there are more Christians than Buddhists. Perhaps the Buddhists there are too passive and don't engage in fighting against the Christian invaders. If the Buddhists there continue to be passive, Buddhism will disappear from South Korea. If the Buddhists in the world continue to be passive, Buddhism will disappear from the world. As for my question about Sam Rainsy, I didn't ask where he was during the genocide, I asked what he did during the genocide. Because of course everyone already knows that he was in France. My question and answer have nothing to do with the CPP. I simply know and said that he lived in luxury in France and did nothing regarding the genocide. I said nothing else. As for the CPP members being former Khmer Rouge, of course some of them were. However, these former Khmer Rouge, including Hun Sen, opposed the genocide as thought out and carried out by your pals Pol Pot, Ieng Sary, Khieu Samphorn, etc. Pol Pot & Co therefore tried to kill them, so they had to flee to Vietnam for their lives. Then, what happened next is known by everybody in the world, including you I hope. If Hun Sen etc hadn'tt asked Vietnam to destroy the Khmer Rouge, the Khmer Rouge would have brought the Cambodian race to extinction by now. True of false??
