I don't believe that they pretend at all. They see growth, which translates into the elevation of people from poverty. You have seen so many times that the international community pours money into a communist countries around the world. We all hate communism. Why are they doing it? Because they see that their effort atleast would help a little or alot to those who need the most. > > Here is just questions. > Do you think the international community support mafia Hun Sen? Do you think that the international community is also wrong? Sam Rainsy has been trying so hard to persuade the international community to stop helping Cambodia under Hun Sen rule. That's wrong. And the international community sees it. They want to help Cambodians despite the corruption and impunity because they believe that the change can only happen when they are there. If they are not, there would be no change. It's obsurd to say that the international community is so blind. They are not. However, they still believe that their presence bring pressure to a certain degrees. They also believe that atleast a little money could help the poor to help themselves in some way instead of nothing. Here is an example. There are many factories in Cambodia whose owners have exploited Cambodian workers for a lot of money in pocket. They know that only a little money would go to those workers. What happened if those factories pull out of Cambodia? Those workers will have no jobs. That's the point. Today, we have seen the rise against those factory owners from those workers demanding for more money and some other things. We agree with them hold heartedly. Unfotunately, the situation remains the same. Those factory owners are there to make money. Period. No ifs or buts. If they don't make money, they will pull out. You have seen it already. Many factories have been shut down. > >Suddenly someone said: “If he likes to marry a man, that is his business, for >all we care he marries a monkey. If he likes that who are we to say no. Perhaps, your words reflects what you feel. Nothing is wrong with that. For the outsiders, we look far away from that. We see the frustration within you. As we have seen so many times, Cambodians manipulate others when things are not going their way. My friend, Facts mean so much to human beings. Opinions are not fact. They may resemble to facts. But they are not. Bring facts to support your view or opinions. Then we all can understand that you genuinely want to help Cambodia. That's the bottom line. -- -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Cambodia Discussion (CAMDISC) - www.cambodia.org" group. This is an unmoderated forum.
