YES, don't throw away the old floppys!!  This is absolutely the best
material for slits and other small, opaque material requirements.  For the
Lookaround camera I cut various size slits from one piece.

Use a fresh, single-edge razor blade (craft knives are too thick) and a
metal straight edge and cut on plate glass.  The disks themselves cut very
cleanly and are opaque enough for slits but somewhat flimsy.
