As was stated, I understand the principle, I just don't have the time or money to build a 5" panoramic and was looking at other ways to use the film.  I'd love to help keep a film alive (I find it irritating you can't get IR film in 4X5 from the big four anymore) but I have to have a use for the investment.

The reason I made that comment is that someone asked "Why don't you simply
use 4 X 5 film holders?"  If anyone took offense, I meant none.
