I think that the largest openning is for TIME exposures and for use of the front
shutter only. AFAIK it doesnt momentarily open and close like the other slits. This
may not be true with all the shutters though, Aniversary Graphic FP shutters let you
select lots of additional variations of slit width and tension that the Pacemaker FP
shutter wouldnt allow. Perhaps there is something you could use there (of course the
Aniversary has no flash contacts in the FP shutter either.)
Perhaps you could try holding the shutter button down and seeing if the shutter will
pass though TIME (fully open) to closed? If it does then you may be in luck.
