I won't pretend to understand all parts of these plans, but please explain the first one a little bit more: Why would you want to expand the 1/8" slit to full frame (presumably, this means a 5" long opening in the curtain)? Doesn't the shutter already have an "O" position in which the entire film area is exposed at once (i.e., a 5" X 5" opening in the curtain), and couldn't you modify the actuating mechanism so that this "O" opening moves continuously rather than stopping in open position, and provide a pair of contacts which close when it is fully open? Perhaps the answer is that the movement of the "O" slit is too slow because it is at the low-tension end of the curtain...? RKS
