Pinhole light fall off. This might help with camera design. I did a quick-n-dirty calculation on the area of a circle versus an ellipse. I strted with a circle 1" diameter and calced the area. Than I did it for an ellipse 1" by whatever a 45 degree angle would give and got an area just over 60 percent of that of the circle.
This means that at 45 degrees (or 90 total) the light fall off from the center of a hole is almost half or almost 1 stop. ---William Nettles [EMAIL PROTECTED] Nettles Photo / Imaging Site http://www.wgn.net/~nettles _______________________________________________ Cameramakers mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://rmp.opusis.com/mailman/listinfo/cameramakers
