There are several "dry plate" processes. Dag's, collodion, albumen, 
gelatin.

Which might you be interested in?

Generally, dry plate is very slow until you get to the gelatin process. 
 Unfortunately, and surprisingly, there is only a small amount of info on 
the gelatin process in the public domain.  The gelatin process, making you 
own, is also somewhat complicated.  Most folks prefer to buy liquid 
emulsion pre fabed like liquid light.
If you are interested in making collodion dry plate or gelatin I might be 
able to forward some info. There might also be a large file in the download 
area on this site.
