I just obtained a 16" Cooke Process Anastigmat. Unfortunately, none of my cameras have that much bellows. I'm thinking of building a very basic box (maybe 3/8 plywood)about 15 1/2" long (by 5"x5"), and already have a spare 4x5 spring-back. <

Ter,
Have you thought of:
(1) Building an "extended" lens board for mounting this lens on whatever short-bellows camera you have already. This would be a short box of the type you mentioned, with a rear that is designed to mount into the front standard of your camera. Then you could use the existing focusing means and some of the front movements while still getting the lens to focus correctly; or
(2) Looking for an inexpensive view camera such as an old Burke & James?
