and confirm whether it drives their performance to new lows of molasses-in-winter like behavior as well as my iBook (800 G3)? When I have the page loaded, with Camino in the background and *minimized*, CPU% according to top hovers between 50 and 92 percent. With it in the background and non minimized, the percent is between 47 and 94. (Normally Camino with nothing open in the background seems to take up about 20 percent)
Granted, top does not seem to be the greatest measure of processor usage, but this website's performance is just abysmal, specifically on affecting response to window clicks and text entry. I don't know if it's just that he likes to use lots of animated-gif advertisements, or that the HTML source looks about 3 times as big as it needs to be (lots of CSS stuff embedded for starters)
