Yes, that is a glitch that deserves fixing. Interestingly, it occurs only for the "small" icons. The regular size icons don't seem to be affected.
That's because the large icons are currently as they actually are drawn, whereas the small icons are created by the system using on-the-fly resizing. There will be a fix shortly to provide the system with both large and small versions, so no resizing will be necessary.
