Technical, and definitely latest stuff.
A *.prefPane bundle is a plugin that when loaded, can be displayed in a preferences window. Camino searches this folder for *.prefPane files, and loads them into the Preferences window. The main bonus is that it makes it easy for third party developers to create their own preference panes without modifying Camino's source code, and it would still integrate flawlessly. I can't think of any great uses, except maybe preferences for some companies in-house browser plugin or something like that.
