Exactly. With this considered, a mac os x bundle is the way to go. Even with a zipped folder it's extension would have to be .zip so it can be de-compressed.
The only tiny problem is that other platforms would see this strange folder 'WebPage.html', with a file in it, and another folder.
OmniWeb supports htmld bundles. Nothing flashy, they just put a index.html file in it and that is rendered, any images or other pages work the same way as a normal web page. Seems like a good idea to me, it's allready fully supported by another browser, it works reasonably well with the rest of them, and most importantly it's easy to implement.
Good, so there is a chance that htmld could become a Mac standard. Then maybe if we could convince MS to support packages (it would do WONDERS for hiding the DLL Hell - or maybe making it even worse).. Along with convincing MS to support the 'hide files starting with a dot' convention of (almost) everyone else.
Also, would anyone else like webpages saved by their title (as specified in <title>) rather than the last component of the web address? It's kind of tiring to keep having to rename things from 'wiki.php.phtml'
