I'll take a few stabs here, and someone more knowledgeable can correct me :)

1) Why is Fink required to build Camino? I understand it's needed to install Orbit, but what is Orbit and why does Camino need it? Does it provide required libraries or something?

I believe it's for libIDL, for dealing with the interface description language files for the various components.

2) How does one go about requesting reviews for a patch in Bugzilla?

Post it as an attachment, edit the attachment, and set the review drop-down to '?'. Optionally fill in an email address if you know who you want to review the patch.

3) If developer A doesn't have CVS access and so developer B checks in a patch created by developer A, is developer A "on the hook"?

Probably not, since A has no idea when B is going to check in their patch. But since B is Pink or Josh, they should probably answer that one ;)

5) One of the Building Camino FAQs says: Q. I get errors that the Camino build failed at some <CopyFilesX?> where X is some number.
A. Usually this is because you:
* forgot to make in embedding/config after making code changes
* forgot to enable crypto or one of the extensions in your .mozconfig
Make sure you follow the directions to the letter, and try again.

What is this crypto, and what are the instructions for setting it up? Does anyone have detailed instructions for setting up .mozconfig?

This is sort of cruft from the older instructions, which had users make a .mozconfig from scratch. Now that it's mostly just sourcing $topsrcdir/camino/config/mozconfig it's not the sort of thing a casual builder is likely to have to deal with.

6) The build instructions say that if you have installed Xcode w/o Cross Development you need to go back and reinstall it. How does one do this? Does it require uninstallation first, or just re-running the installation package?

As long as you are installing over the same version you had installed (or an older one) it should be doable as an 'upgrade'. I'm not sure about using an older installer over newer tools though.

7) How do you set up Xcode for an optimized vs. a debug build?

Select 'Deployment' or 'Development' as a build style

8) How does one set up CVS within Xcode to pull code from the Camino repository?

Um... that probably wouldn't be a terribly good idea in most cases, since in general it's good to update general Mozilla code and Camino code at the same time in case something changed in Mozilla that required changes in Camino, and the Camino Xcode project doesn't know about all the other Mozilla code.
