Personally, I'd like a UI item for this too, but I'm glad that there's still some way to get this behavior back.
Re: RSS: probably not.
Re: memory usage: compare it with other browsers, and check to see whether you're looking at virtual or real memory size. I personally don't think 88 MB is that terrible; at least, it's never impacted my use of it that I can remember.

The one downside to this however is that it tabs to all links as Simon indicates, which is a pain. I use a Powerbook almost 90% of the time without a mouse and rely solely on the keyboard and no trackpad as it's just plain faster. If it's possible to implement a Preference to have it only tab to all controls except links, that would be optimal.
Two other quick questions/concerns, is Camino going to have RSS builds soon? And then secondly, I've noticed Camino using up to 88MB RAM at times, is this appropriate or no?

The behaviour in current (i.e. 1/24 and later) builds is this:
With Full Keyboard Access (in the Mouse & Keyboard System Prefs panel) off, you can only tab to text fields.
With Full Keyboard Access on, you can tab to all controls, and links. Note that some bugs prevent us from displaying keyboard focus for buttons, so don't be surprised if the focus appears to disappear on buttons..
