What text editor are you using? Some suggestions:
SubEthaEdit (http://www.codingmonkeys.de/subethaedit/ ; free for noncommercial use)
TextEdit (already included with your Mac OS X installation in the Applications folder)
TextWrangler (http://www.barebones.com/products/textwrangler/index.shtml ; free)

Quit Camino. Inside your Home > Library > Application Support > Camino folder should be a file called user.js (thus, if it doesn't exist, create it using one of the applications above and remember to save in plain text and not formatted files - only relevant to TextEdit). Inside the file user.js should be one line:

user_pref("nglayout.initialpaint.delay",0);

Don't forget the semicolon.

Save the file and restart Camino and see if you notice any difference.

I fixed my text editor, and I created the plain text
file; however, I am not sure if I did it correctly.
For example should it read:
user.jsuser_pref("nglayout.initialpaint.delay",0) it
woudl appear that I did not do it correctly since some
web pages I tried still marguee and do not seem to be
much faster. Or perhaps I need to title the plain text
file then paste the hidden preferences in to it.
Cheers!

Just create one in a text-editor (TextEdit will
do,
as long as you make
sure that you're saving as text and not RTF/rich
text; check the
"Format" menu). Then, you can just save it to
that
location.

Thank you for the help I found it. Now, how do
I
go
about adding a plain text file(user.js) to it.
I
am
sill getting to know this OS since I have been
a
PEECEE person for too long. Cheers!
