This sounds very much like Tech Evangelism bug https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=308786 which indicated the problem with the "digg it" button is poor/broken browser sniffing on the part of digg.com (although it sounds like the results have changed slightly now, a blank page instead of just reloading the page).
