When you click on a bookmark, the preview pane will load and display
the site as it currently appears.
I'd be interested in comments and thoughts. It probably wouldn't be
too hard to implement. The bit I'm most uncertain about is scaling
the view to thumbnail size.
There's code in Gecko 1.8 to create arbitrary-sized images of a
page's rendered appearance; roc added it last summer or fall, and a
couple of Fx extensions are using it already
I'm not convinced of the utility of it (I have pages bookmarked
because I know what they are, mostly) and I echo the other concerns
with the delay/speed issue, since I'm on dialup a lot of the time
still.
That said, if those can be worked around, it does seem like a "neat"
feature and possibly a nice touch.
