Woops.
I created your perception of a misunderstanding. I knew you meant polished in that manner and didn't notice that it seemed i was using it to mean glassy. I was really just agreeing, and my being tired of glassy icons is a side-point.


On other matters, i was lurking about back when the lengthy discussions took place about all the graphical UI elements and various proposals were popping up, set off somewhat by Jasper's initial designs. Then it seemed all potential additional ideas and most of those already around were axed by the decision to use Jasper's designs with only minor modifications.

It seemed at the time that his designs were allowed to steamroller all others more than has been the case with proposals about non- graphical elements.
