Why does it work (ie. select all text when clicking once) for some
and not others? It certainly doesn't for me on the latest nightly -
Version 2006051001 (1.2+). I'll try on my other Macs when I get home.

Hmmm, Pink is correct. I'm positive that older versions didn't do
that because I remember being caught by adding text to a current
"search term" rather than replacing it as I had intended.
As for the issue of UI consistency, I feel this really is a special
case here. After all, tabbing into a text field also selects all
text so what you type will replace what's there, not add to it.
Leave the current behavior alone!
