I couldn't reproduce this myself, but what is likely happening is that there is a pop-up that either 1) gets around the Mozilla pop-up blocker altogether or 2) is triggered by user action, but the contents of that window (usually an image or some Flash) are blocked by Camino's ad-blocking (if that preference is enabled). Indeed, the pop-up blocker is not 100% effective; I even get pop-ups on mac sites! And yes, 80-90% of them are blank; like Smokey said, that's the ad being blocked in the pop-up.
The real issue is that pop-up blocking is less effective today than it was 6-12 months ago. The blocker needs to evolve...
