The real issue is that pop-up blocking is less effective today than
it was 6-12 months ago. The blocker needs to evolve...
The fight against popups and spam is a never-ending arms race. No
matter how good the popup blocker gets, spammers will eventually find
ways around it, which will have to be fixed. I agree that popup
blockers will need to find some new tricks eventually, but I think
popups are still rare enough that it's not a pressing issue.
