Install Flashblock. See https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi? id=295755 for instructions on manual installation; that's the bug for having it as a built-in option in Camino's prefs.
(<rant> why can't Apple put the Cocoa widget graphical code in it's own thread that gets top priority above EVERYTHING except for network and optical disk accesses that must have data fed to them, and the highest-level interrupt code like screen and device access?)
