Hello:

I've been trying to use the Lilypond online documentation at:

http://lilypond.org/doc/v2.11/Documentation/user/lilypond/index

However, I've been finding that it swtiches between English and French
in a seemingly random fashion. So I went to the site information about
the documentation and web browsers.

http://lilypond.org/web/about/browser-language

There is no mention of Camino. The instructions say to make sure your
browser is configured to the language you wish to use. Of course
Camino is not specifically configured for a language since it uses the
system defaults.

I checked System Preferences ---> International ---> Language. English
is set as the language along with Canada as the location. Canada as
the preference pane states can only be used with UTF8 encoding. Likely
because French is an official language.

The list of languages for Mac OS X is lengthy but French isn't even
the second language on the list, its merely one of them. I have
unchecked all languages except English and perhaps after I restart
Camino this problem will disappear.

I logged out, then back in and restarted Camino. The documentation is
now in only English and doesn't' switch back and forth.

Obviously the web server is confused as to which language to send. Is
Camino not sending the information? Is this a problem with Camino at
all or a Mac OS X bug?

I've seen a similar problem some where else, and I cannot remember in
which context it was. Shouldn't the language selected in the System
Preferences be the actual default?

I guess I'm just lucky that I wasn't getting documentation alternating
in English, Spanish, Dutch etc... :)

Cheers,
David
