Does anyone else have this problem with Camino? I'm using 1.51 on an
old Mac iBook that's admittedly pretty slow. I have a cable modem
shared through an ethernet home network via a router.

Some Web sites take FOREVER to download, and I MEAN forever. ESPN.com,
for example - but in reality, ANY site with video or animation can
spend minutes fully downloading. Sometimes the colored pinwheel keeps
spinning and spinning and spinning and never returns control to me so
that I can actually click on a link or even go to another site from my
bookmarks. Sometimes I have to force quit Camino and start it up again.
It keeps me from going to certain sites because I know I'm going to
have trouble.

I've reported this as a bug to the developers and have been told,
basically, we're aware of it and have no intention of fixing it anytime
soon. Fix it yourself if it bothers you so much, since we can't
duplicate it ourselves.

Am I the only person this is happening to? I'd appreciate some useful
suggestions on any possible workaround or solution.

Also, is there a way to disable videos on some sites from automatically
starting. You go to ESPN.com, and it attempts to play one of their
video windows as soon as you get there. I don't want that to ever
happen - can I somehow shut it down in advance?

Thanks!

"Well, this train carries saints and sinners/This train carries losers
and winners/This train carries whores and gamblers/This train carries
lost souls/This train carries broken-hearted/This train - thieves and
sweet souls departed/This train carries fools, carries kings/This train
- all aboard!/I said, this train - dreams will not be thwarted/This
train - faith will be rewarded/This train - hear the steel wheels
singing/This train - bells of freedom ringing!" - Bruce Springsteen,
